MEMBERS of a Bridport-based community group have begun meeting in-person again following the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Members of Bridport U3A’s ‘Monday Morning Zoom Contact Group’, who connect via Zoom every Monday throughout the lockdown, were able to meet up last week on a sunny morning for the first time this year.
The group will continue to meet on Zoom for 45 minutes to an hour every Monday, except for when the weather makes a face-to-face garden meeting possible.
Bridport U3A chairman Pat Grafton, said: "Zoom has enabled us to keep a strong programme going throughout the restrictions and it will continue to have its place to support our groups who will happily now increasingly be able to meet again face-to-face."
U3A (University of the Third Age) is a national organisation which aims to help retired members of the community make the most of life once they are no longer in full time work by exploring new ideas, skills and interests.
