JUST 11 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.

Latest Public Health England figures show that in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Sunday four new cases were recorded in the Dorset Council area taking the total to 11,893 since the start of the pandemic.

The rolling rate of infection in the Dorset Council area stands at 10.6 after 40 cases were confirmed in the seven days leading up to April 27.

Meanwhile in Bournemouth Christchurch Poole seven cases were confirmed in the same time period.

It means, since the start of the pandemic, 25,355 cases have beenm confirmed in BCP.

In the seven days leading up to April 27, 62 cases were confirmed in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 15.7 per 100,000 people.
