SPACES are available on a free teaching assisting course taking place in Bridport next week.
The Level 2 Support 'Work in Schools' course, which will take place at Bridport Youth & Community Centre, begins on Wednesday, April 28.
The course is fully funded for Dorset residents who are 19 or above and unemployed or earning £17,000 or less.
The course runs for nine weeks - and is classroom-based to help develop the understanding of key roles which support schools and learning.
Each course will have an experienced tutor who will guide students through topics such as child development, schools as organisations and keeping children safe.
