crash in west Dorset
DRIVERS are being alerted to heavy traffic caused by an accident near Beaminster.
Emergency services have been called to a two-vehicle crash on the A3066 Bridport Road.
Heavy traffic is being reported in the area.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 1.15pm with a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A3066 Bridport Road at Beaminster.
"Officers have attended the scene and the ambulance service has been contacted."
In a further update, the spokesman added: "There were no reports of any serious injuries and recovery for the vehicles is being arranged."
Meanwhile it is understood the road is closed in both directions.
