IT'S not all about pubs, hairdressers and gyms reopening on Monday.

Theme parks, zoos and other outdoor attractions will also welcome visitors back for the first time in months.

Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park

For those keen to travel a little further, Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park will reopen its outdoor spaces from 10am on Monday.

Visitors will be able to see otters, seals and Humboldt penguins as well as explore the outdoor rockpool, Caribbean Cove play area and Splash Fountains.

Although Sea Life Weymouth will not fully reopen until May 17 - more of its outdoor entertainment venues will reopen on Monday including the Rockpool, the water play jets at Castaway Bay, and the Caribbean Cove Gallery.

A spokesperson said: “Sea Life Weymouth is set to fully reopen on May 17, but luckily from April 12, we’re able to offer lots of outdoor fishy fun – and at a discounted cost when you book online.

"Guests will be able to check out a whole host of our coolest creatures who prefer to live outside, including otters, seals and penguins.

"What’s more, you can meet starfish and crabs at our outdoor rockpool, enjoy hours of splashy fun in our water play jets at Castaway Bay or climb aboard the Caribbean Cove Gallery and sail away on a magical outdoor adventure.

"Or for those who fancy something more competitive, our outdoor Pirate Adventure Mini Golf, which features 18 holes of piratical putting, Jolly Roger galleons, treasure chests, gunpowder barrels and more is open and ready for the tee off.

"As always, safety measures will be in place throughout the attraction to take care of visitors and colleagues alike. All of our team, plus of course our aquatic residents, are all looking forward to welcoming al fresco visitors next week and to hopefully reopening entirely on May 17."

Monkey World, in Longthorns, Wareham will welcome visitors to see its array of primates on April 12.

A spokesman from the venue said: "Monkey World is pleased to be reopening to the public on April 12.

"It has been a difficult year, being closed to the public for eight months, and with our 260 rescued and endangered monkeys and apes trusting us to continue to provide the high standard of care they deserve.

"Monkey World relies on the entrance fee of visitors to care for the primates here, and indeed to carry out our rescue work - even in the past year we have had to carry out emergency rescues, and build new enclosures to house those monkeys."

Popular family theme park Adventure Wonderland reopens on Monday.

The park has been busy making changes to the site over the past few months and has remained closed since November apart from for its festive production The Santa Show which was held over the winter break.

Visitor numbers will be limited to give people more space to move around the park and all attractions are being sanitised between rides.

A wide range of outside rides and attractions will be open daily, including family favourites such as Jungle Falls, Battle Boats, Wild Bill’s Runaway Train and the Turbo Teacups.

This year the mark celebrates its 30th anniversary and brand new nine-hole crazy golf course Alice at the Movies is set to open in May.
