I WALK my two dogs every day at Cogden, normally a very busy location but quiet at the moment for obvious reasons.

Last week the National Trust put signs up warning that the two waste bins close to the beach will be removed on 1st April. These bins are heavily used in normal times by regular walkers (with or without dogs), visitors and anglers using the beach. They are also used by people depositing the litter they pick up from the beach after a strong blow.

Having just read in your paper of the extra actions being taken to cope with the expected surge in visitors due shortly in our area, this seems a very retrograde step.
