WARNINGS have been issued after a youngster was reportedly followed by a man in a van.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 24, between 5 and 5.30pm, a young person was walking home in Halstock and noticed a small grey van which appeared to be following them.

The young person described the driver as a white male, between 21 and 25 years old, with spotty skin and stubble.

He wearing a black tracksuit top, had a passenger in the car with him and was leaning out of the window.

Before the driver could say anything the young person ran home as they felt uncomfortable.

The van was small and grey and had a black logo on the back, which looked like it has been stuck on, rather than sign written.

A spokesperson for Bridport Police said: "The reason for the driver to slow down and lean out of the window is unknown, but I advise people to be vigilant and report any similar incidents to us on 101, at the time.

"I would also advise any young people in this situation, not to engage with any strangers and go home immediately."
