A MUSICAL theatre performance has been officially cancelled again - almost a year after its original scheduled date was axed due to the Covid pandemic.

Bridport Musical Theatre Company (BMTC) has had to cancel its production of Showstoppers, originally scheduled for April 2020 at the Electric Palace on South Street, Bridport.

After initially postponing the event for a year organisation has made the decision to cancel again as a result of the uncertainty around Covid restrictions going forward.

A spokesperson for BMTC said:"We had hoped to be able to stage this sometime this year but unfortunately, because of the uncertainty of Covid restrictions going forward and other unforeseen circumstances we are no longer able to do this.

We do appreciate the people of Bridport’s continued support and enthusiasm for musical theatre. These are difficult times for everyone and trust you will understand."

Those who have bought tickets to the show should contact the Electric Palace for a refund at boxoffice@electricpalace.org.uk
