SCHOOLCHILDREN have been awarded with medals after taking part in a virtual running challenge.
During the most recent lockdown, more than 110 pupils from Bridport Primary School took part in a virtual cross country challenge.
Children were challenged to run 1km as fast as they could and pupils both in school and at home competed.
The best times in each age group were then put forward for a virtual inter-school competition for West Dorset schools.
All children were given a medal for participating.
Adam Gough, deputy headteacher at Bridport Primary School said: "More than 110 pupils ran 1km as fast as they could and there were some fantastic results recorded from all year groups.
"All pupils who took part were given a bespoke medal, designed by two of our Year 6 pupils, courtesy of Andy Palmer and his team at White Star Running. Well done to all involved."
