PEOPLE are being warned to beware of fraudsters claiming to be from the Visa fraud department.
Residents in Dorchester have been targeted in recent days.
A spokesman for Dorchester Police said: "We have had reports recently of fraudsters who are contacting local residents claiming to be from Visa Fraud and saying there has been abnormal activity on their bank accounts.
"Please be aware this is NOT the case and it is ok to to say no and hang up if you are not sure. Https://www.actionfraud.police.uk"
