BRIDPORT businesses are invited to a free virtual support event.
The event, hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), is going ahead to support small businesses with their online trading. The one-hour session will explain the ShopAppy concept, in which local businesses have been given a free subscription to until March 2022 as part of the national 'shop and support local' scheme.
Small business owners and sole traders from Bridport, Bournemouth, Gillingham, Sherborne Wimborne Poole and Sturminster Newton are invited to the event.
A spokesman for the event said: "For many small business owners, trading online is a daunting prospect as not only can sourcing the right platform be expensive – but ‘getting found online’ in what can be a very noisy marketplace is also difficult.
"This is an opportunity for small businesses and sole traders within your town to come together and to use their local identity to compete with the online giants."
