An annual boat blessing service will take place later than usual this year.
The Blessing of the Boats service, hosted by the RNLI Lyme Regis lifeboat team, has been re-scheduled to Sunday, August 1.
The event sees wreaths being blessed and taken out to sea by the lifeboat team - where they are laid to commemorate those lost at sea.
The blessing is usually held on Rogation Sunday but it has been moved back to August with the hope that Covid-19 restrictions will be eased by this time.
The inter-denominational service will begin at 2pm and will be conducted by the Rev. Chris Martin, team vicar of the Golden Cap Benefice.
Music will be provided by the Lyme Regis town band and the Lyme Bay Moonrakers.
