OVER 70 per cent of people aged between 60 to 64 across Dorset have had at least the first Covid-19 vaccine, according to latest NHS figures.
NHS figures show the percentages of how many people across Dorset have received the first vaccination so far from the Covid-19 vaccination first phase priority groups.
The figures reveal 70.7 per cent of people from between 60 to 64 years old had at least one dose, while 98.3 per cent of people aged over 80 have received at least one dose.
All (100 per cent) of people from the age bracket 75 to 79 years old have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 96.2 per cent of people from the age bracket 70 to 74 have received at least the first vaccine, while 90.3 per cent of ages between 65 to 69 years old have been given at least one vaccine.
The figures cover the Dorset Council area, as well as the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region.
The two vaccines that have been approved by the MHRA that are in use across the UK, have impressive efficacy rates, offering protection to those most at risk, according to the NHS.
