A PROJECT challenging families to create fun displays to put up in their windows has been extended - and now there are prizes up for grabs too.

The Lyric Theatre’s crafty lockdown project, 'Story Windows', has been extended until the end of March, to give residents more time to take part and get their hands on some prizes.

The project was first launched in January and invites members of the public to create a three-dimensional display based on, or inspired by, their favourite books. These displays, also known as 'dioramas', would then be put up in windows across Bridport for others to see and enjoy.

The Book Shop on South Street will judge the entries and have also offered some prizes. The winner will receive a selection of books based on their interests, and have their story window displayed in the shop's window.

To be in with a chance of winning residents are asked to make a story window and photograph it, before posting it to either Facebook or Instagram, making sure to tag the The Lyric Theatre in your post. Participants should also email their displays to the theatre at admin@the-lyric.com.

The theatre can be tagged on Facebook @TheLyricTheatre, and on Instagram @LyricTheatreBridport.

A spokesman for the Lyric Theatre said: "This is a project for all ages, and no experience is necessary. Let your imagination be your limit and challenge yourself to create something beyond what you thought you were capable of.

"The Lyric has been sharing people’s Story Windows made so far on their social media and newsletter, and will share yours if you tag them in it or email it to them."
