YOUNG people are encouraged to sign up for The Prince's Trust.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting for the upcoming Prince's Trust achieve programme which will be run online for the first time.

The eight-week programme, for people aged between 16 and 25 who are not in education, employment or training, aims to encourage the participants to get to know each other and build their confidence while completing tasks set by staff to complete independently.

Upon completion, participants will receive the Prince's Trust personal development and employability skills certificate.

Debbie Harvey, course leader, said: "We are really excited about delivering the achieve programme online as it’s the first fully digital course we have delivered.

"With the current lockdown restrictions in place, we wanted to provide young people with the opportunity to use their time to meet new people, build confidence and gain skills employers are looking for."

The course will run five days a week, starting on February 22 and finishing on April 16.

Spaces are limited. Anyone interested should contact Debbie Harvey on 07500 066134 or email Debbie.Harvey@dwfire.org.uk
