POLICE are warning residents at a Dorset village to be vigilant after items were stolen and a caravan broken into during a series of reported incidents.
Bridport Police received reports of crimes in the Halstock area between Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February - including theft of a camera and solar panel.
"There was a padlock to a yard tampered with," a police spokesman said.
"No access appears to have been gained and nothing stolen, but it could have been a foiled attempt. There was a theft of a camera and solar panel from an isolated area outside of Halstock, and a break-in to a caravan.
"It is not known at this time if anything was stolen from the caravan. Please be vigilant and consider your security."
Anyone who sees any suspicious activity is asked to report it straight away, by calling 101, or online at dorset.police.uk
