SHOPPING locally has never been easier, as Bridport Business Chamber partners with a website to help people support independent retailers.

Bridport Business Chamber has teamed up with ShopAppy, a website designed to bring together all the products sold by local businesses so shoppers can search for items easily and buy from a local retailer.

The partnership is a result of Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) committing £30,000 to a new initiative to allow local businesses across the county free access to the popular ecommerce platform.

The site, which is backed by VISA, operates click and collect and delivery services to make it easier for shoppers to support their local economy and their favourite businesses.

President of Bridport Business Chamber Robert Mühl said: "This is great news for Bridport. ShopAppy is a simple way for independent businesses to get online and for people to be able to shop locally, even during lockdown."
