A WEST Dorset photographer has created an amazing photographic collage to honour national hero Captain Sir Tom Moore who died this week aged 100.
James Loveridge's collage is made up of more than 100 local photographs over an image of Captain Sir Tom.
It honours the Second World War veteran whose charity walks inspired the nation at the start of the pandemic. Captain Sir Tom, who raised nearly £33 million for NHS Charities by walking laps of his garden, sadly died in Bedford Hospital on Tuesday after testing positive for coronavirus.
He was unable to be vaccinated as he was receiving medication for pneumonia.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson encouraged members of the public to clap for Captain Sir Tom at 6pm last night.
James said: "I used an online website to create the image of Captain Sir Tom and I thought it would be really nice to use photos from the local area.
"I think it is brilliant what he achieved in raising so much money for the NHS - he truly was the hero of 2020 and I thought this would be a lovely way to honour him."
The picture includes photographs that James has taken in Abbotsbury, West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Colmers Hill and Seatown.
