MORE than 200 cases have been reported across Dorset, according to the latest figures.
Data from Public Health England shows that 233 positive tests have been recorded across Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council areas by 9am on Monday, February 1.
The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Dorset Council area has increased by 75 in the latest 24 hour period.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Public Health England figures show that 9,813 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in this area.
In the BCP Council area, 158 people tested positive for coronavirus. The total number of cases in this area now stands at 22,333.
The newly confirmed cases are a decrease on the figures reported on Sunday, January 31, when 269 new cases were recorded.
In total across both local authority areas, 32,146 coronavirus cases have been reported during the pandemic.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 62,970 over the period, to 3,835,783.
Dorset's cases were among the 192,083 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 4,140 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
