A LORRY driver has been freed after his foot was trapped under a one tonne bag of soil.
Two crews from Bridport Fire Station were called out at around 11am this morning to help the driver of a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) who's foot was trapped between a one tonne bag of soil on a pallet and the loading platform of the lorry.
The 35-year-old man was trapped on Hardy Road in Bridport.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station: "Crews stabilised the load so that it couldn't move any further and then using inflatable airbags and a bit of brute force released the driver.
"The driver was checked over and no major injuries were found."
