CHANGES have been made to a Bridport bus route as a result of a road closure.
Due to the closure of Middle Street in Misterton for a week of roadworks, the First bus number 6 service which runs from Bridport to Yeovil will not be able to stop at South Street or Station Road in Crewkerne, nor any part of Misterton village.
This diversion is likely to cause a delay to the service but First Group, which operates the route, doesn't think it will be too severe.
A spokesman for the organisation said: "We would like to inform customers who may catch the bus in South Street (Crewkerne) or Station Road (Crewkerne) that their closest stop would be Market Square (Crewkerne) and that anyone from Misterton would need to catch the bus at the crossroads at the far end of Misterton on the North Perrott road."
