AN ANNUAL spoof competition is set to make its return, giving residents a fun way to showcase their creativity.
The Bridport Turnip Prize will be back at The Ropemakers pub on Sunday, January 31 from 3pm.
The event is inspired as a spoof on the Tate Gallery’s Turner Prize and the entries must show 'lack of effort' have an alliteration or pun in the title.
The prize will be a turnip nailed to a lump of wood and each year’s winner can keep their trophy for life.
Entries with too much effort or not rubbish enough will be immediately disqualified.
Entries can be sent by email to johnthecelt1@gmail.com by Sunday, January 17 2021.
Organisers have asked that entrants make a donation to Parkinson's UK at the events JustGiving page, www.justgiving.com/fundraising/bridportturnipprize
