POLICE are stepping up patrols after broken glass and obscene graffiti were found in a children's play park.
They were alerted to groups of youths causing anti-social behaviour in the Blandford park.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Several reports of ASB have been reported at Balmer Road play park in recent days.
"Parents have taken their young children to the park to find smashed glass and obscene graffiti.
"This is not an appropriate meeting place for youths in the late evening/early hours of the morning and officers will be patrolling the area and dealing appropriately with any offences they find.
"Please report any ASB via 101 or on the Dorset Police website."
