THE proposed conversion of a Portland church hall into homes is among the planning applications lodged with Dorset Council for decision.

An application, verified this week, asks to convert St Andrews Church Hall in Church Lane, into two back to back flats.

It has been submitted in the name of the Rev Tim Gomm.

Other Portland applications are - 31 Chiswell, removal of rear store and erect single storey extension, upgrade existing roof terrace;  23 Sweet Hill Road, Portland, velux windows to be removed and exchanged for two dormer windows, patio doors to be added to the rear; 60 Southwell, single storey rear extension; 81 Fortuneswell, installation of central heating system to include gas line to the building.
