FLOOD sirens on Portland will go off today - but there's no need to panic.
The Environment Agency is carrying out routine siren testing at Chiswell today to ensure everything's working properly.
The tests, which are usually carried out every year, are an essential part of the island's flood defence system.
We’re at #Chiswell #Dorset today testing the flood sirens. We do this every year to make sure they are working to warn the local community that #flooding is imminent. Just a test though! They are loud- and they need to be…stay tuned for more! #Floodaware
