Firefighters rescued a woman after her car became stuck in floodwater.
The woman was stranded on Pigs Lane in the village of Melbury Osmond just after 6pm yesterday.
Fire crews from across the border in Yeovil attended the incident and rescued the driver using flood suits.
Police then closed the road.
A fire crew spokesman said with more rain expected drivers should take care on the roads.
He said: "Remember that just 30cm of water is enough to float your car.
"So if you do have to go out make sure you don't drive into floodwater."
