A LYME REGIS bungalow has sold for more than £300,000 in an online auction.

The detached bungalow went under the hammer in a virtual auction on Wednesday November 4 - being sold for £310,000.

The two-bedroom property at 4 Pound Round, which boasts views of the Jurassic Coast, was among the lots in the seventh auction of 2020 by regional land and property auctioneers, Clive Emson.

Alongside the two bedrooms, the property contains an entrance lobby, a kitchen and breakfast room, a living room, and a bathroom. It also contains a garden area, complete with a shed.

The property was auctioned jointly with Morgan York Estate Agents of Axminster.

Auctioneer Graham Barton said: “Lyme Regis remains a much sought-after location.

“Well located with views to Lyme Bay and Golden Cap, this bungalow drew healthy interest from a variety of buyer types before selling in the mid-range of its freehold guide.

He added: “The new owner has plenty of scope to add their own touch to ongoing refurbishment works whether for owner-occupation, rental or holiday letting.

“Alternatively, there is potential for upwards and, or, sideways extension as well as for a Grand Design style home maybe even two subject to the necessary consents.”

Clive Emson Auctioneers holds a regional auction eight times a year – roughly one every six weeks.

The seventh of its series of regional auctions in 2020 had 122 lots on offer over southern England, and took place solely online due to Covid-19 precautions.

The final series of Clive Emson Auctioneers' regional auctions in 2020 takes place on Wednesday December 16 with entries closing on Tuesday November 24.
