NUMEROUS west Dorset eateries are offering takeaway services as we prepare to go back into lockdown.

Pubs and restaurants across the country are having to close as the UK enters a second national lockdown tomorrow.

During the first lockdown, from March to July, many venues adapted to provide takeaway services, which enabled them to continue doing business during the period, along with providing residents with some of their favourite meals.

The following pubs and restaurants in the west Dorset area will be providing a takeaway service:

  • Ropemakers on West Street will be offering takeaway Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as a Sunday lunch service
  • Robin Wylde will be offering a takeaway service, their menu will be going online shortly.
  • Burgers at the Bay at Windy Corner Cafe will be offering takeaway
  • Half Moon in Melplash is offering takeaway and delivery
  • Sundorbon Indian Restaurant is offering takeaway and delivery up to eight miles
  • Cole Amusements will run a Sunday menu and deliver roast dinners to the doors of customers
  • Kernow Pantry will continue its delivery service which began during the first lockdown
