Cumbria Police has said it is supporting nationwide campaign #OpDriveInsured this week.
A force spokesman said: "This operation is aimed at targeting uninsured drivers to keep road users of Cumbria safe.
"Uninsured and untraced drivers cause nearly one in every five road traffic collisions."
