Firefighters were called to a business in Weymouth after a fire broke out in a fluorescent light.
At just after 6am this morning, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a smoke alarm sounding and visible smoke in a commercial premises on Crescent Street, Weymouth.
Two fire engines from the local fire station and one from Portland attended.
A spokesperson said: "After investigation, it was found that there had been a fire in an overheated fluorescent light fitting. The crews made safe by isolating the power to the lighting circuit, using a thermal imaging camera to assist in ensuring it was safe. The incident was under control by 6.36am."
