THE 'DOWN the track' exhibition at West Bay Discovery Centre has been extended until Thursday, October 29 due to popular demand.
Ninety years ago on Monday, September 22, 1930, the passenger train service between Bridport and West Bay was quietly withdrawn after 46 years in operation.
The exhibition, which opened in July, tells the story of the railway line.
It features photos detailing the history of the Bridport to West Bay line, from the men who worked on the line to the engines themselves, along with various items of interest such as a model of the West Bay station as it would have been when it was still in operation.
The discovery centre is currently open from Tuesdays to Thursdays along with Sundays each week between 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm each day.
