A BRIDPORT anti-racism group are getting involved in a national initiative.
Organisers of the Take a Knee protest in Bridport are encouraging members of the public to wear an item of red clothing tomorrow (Friday) for national 'Wear Red Day'. The initiative, started by Show Racism the Red Card, aims to raise awareness of racism in today's society.
Irena Campion, spokesperson for Take a Knee Bridport, said: "Show Racism the Red Card is well known as a major anti-racist educator through UK football. Wear Read Day comes from this movement, and is a chance for the general public to show its support for anti-racism. A scarf, a hat, your favourite socks - as long as they're red, you will be showing your support this Friday."
The weekly Take a Knee protest takes place at Bucky Doo Square every Wednesday from 6pm.
