A windsurfer drifting out to sea in strong winds was rescued by the lifeboat.
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat volunteer crew were called on Friday to the windsurfer in difficulties half a mile off Seaton.
The lifeboat was launched at 2.25pm following reports of a man falling into the water from his drifting craft in strong winds.
The windsurfer, who was unhurt, was picked up by the lifeboat crew and taken to Seaton beach where he was met by local coastguards.
The lifeboat crew returned to Lyme Regis at 3.06pm.
This was the 39th emergency call answered by the Lyme Regis volunteers so far this year.
