A CAR, believed to be abandoned, has gone up in flames.
A fire engine was sent to a car fire on Lee Lane, Bradpole, at 3.54am this morning.
The car was in flames when the crew arrived. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A spokesman for Birdport Fire Service said: "It is believed the car had been abandoned as it had been left in this spot for some weeks."
Police officers and representatives from Western Power also attended to check for damage to a nearby substation.
