A BOAT has been stolen from a yacht club in Dorset, leading police to launch a CCTV appeal.

The 18ft Bayliner boat was stolen from Sandbanks Yacht Club at around 11pm on Monday August 17. In addition to this, an outboard motor and fuel were stolen from Parkstone Yacht Club at around 7.30pm.

Police officers investigating the thefts have issued images of a black Mercedes, which they believe was involved in the incidents and two men they are keen to speak to about the matter.

Police suspect the vehicle was using false or cloned registration plates.

Adam Cleaver, Poole police community support investigator, said: “We are making enquiries into these thefts and we are releasing CCTV images of two men we would like to speak to as part of our investigation, as well as images of the vehicle believed to be involved.

“I would urge anyone with information about this vehicle or who recognises the men pictured to please contact us.”
