LIBRARIES will restart a reservation system next week.

Dorset libraries had suspended their reservation system during the pandemic but, from Monday, September 14, the system will be back up and running.

Councillor Jill Haynes, portfolio holder for customer and community services at Dorset Council, said: "We’re delighted to reintroduce the reservation system at our libraries so that Dorset residents can borrow the books they want."

Reservations will be limited to 10 items per library member at any one time. The library will notify users when an item they have reserved becomes available for collection.

Library users can also download e-books, magazines, newspapers and comics for free online.

Overdue library charges have also been reintroduced.
