A FIRE broke out on cliffs at Durdle Door.
Amateur photographer, Marc Edgson, captured these images from Durdle Door last night at around 9.30pm.
The fire spread over approximately 40 metres of grassland on the cliff face.
Two fire engines were called to the scene and firefighters were able to get the flames under control at 10.41pm.
Mr Edgson was at the beauty spot to capture images of the stars. He was walking down the cliff when he was overtaken by a fire engine on its way to the scene.
It was then that he noticed the fire on the side of the cliff, about 200m to the west of the steps leading down to Durdle Door.
