Two flood warnings and a wind warning have been issued for Dorset in the wake of Storm Ellen.
Flood alerts have been issued for West and East Dorset. Both are in place from today until mid morning tomorrow (Friday, August 21).
A wind warning has also been issued for Friday across the UK.
A spokesman for the environment agency said: "Large and powerful waves are expected to overtop sea defences as a result of high tides and strong, Force 7 to 8 winds. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Lyme Regis, Charmouth, West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Chesil Beach and Chiswell.
"Our incident response staff are operating tide gates and liaising with emergency services.
"Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads. Camping on beaches and exposed coastline will be extremely hazardous."
The Met Office has also issued a wind warning for tomorrow.
A spokesman said: "Strong winds on Friday are expected to lead to some travel disruption and perhaps some temporary power disruption. Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely."
