Letter: Spend money on place to gather not security guards
CONCERNING the report that Lyme Regis Town Council has employed the services of security guards to patrol the town.
The police report that ‘much of the anti social behaviour reported involves individuals mainly but not always young people, getting together and listening to music’.
Just a thought but I wonder if the money spent on the security guards could be better spent on providing young people with an acceptable place to gather and socialise in the evenings?
