POLICE are warning about an increase in catalytic converter thefts.
A spokesman said: "We’ve recently identified an increase in the number of catalytic converters being stolen, with Hondas and Toyotas typically being targeted.
"We continue to investigate these offences but would ask you to take preventative measures where possible.
"Park the rear of your vehicle close to fences, walls or a kerb or keep your vehicle in a garage. Alternatively, aim to park in a well-lit and well-populated area.
"If you’ve been a victim, please report this to us via our website or by calling 101. Please always call 999 if a crime is in progress or there is danger to life."
