A fruit and veg shop in Bridport is celebrating after being honoured for its continuing work during lockdown.
Bridget’s Market, in East Street, has won a South East Star UK Achievement Award for the work it carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite the national lockdown, the store fulfilled up to 70 orders each day.
Owner Larissa Kemm said: “I feel so proud of the team. They have done such a brilliant job and it was completely unexpected as we didn't even know we had been nominated until they phone us to say we had won.
“The team has worked so hard during lockdown and they haven't complained about anything. We have been doing up to 70 orders a day at times. It’s been really hard but they have been brilliant.
“It’s very overwhelming and makes all the hard work worthwhile, we just want to be able to thank all of our customers that have supported us.”
