WEATHER warnings have been put in place across the UK today and tomorrow, August 13, as thunderstorms are likely to cause disruption in Reading, West Berkshire, Bracknell and Wokingham.

The Met Office put a yellow warning in place for most of England today, Including Reading, Bracknell and West Berks., saying that there will be a chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

The warning also detailed where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.

Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, and there's a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads.

There is also possibility that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.

The weather shift is predicted to be noticeable in Reading and Bracknell at around 4pm today, but ending at around 6pm, with slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms breaking out across the county.

However the majority of the rain and thunderstorms should be expected from around midday tomorrow, August 13, and ending at around midnight.

Temperatures are set to reach a low of 25 degrees today, at around 11pm, and tomorrrow the lowest temperatures are expected to be 21 degrees at around 7am.
