AN outdoor seating area and first floor walkway at a Bridport St Andrew’s estate day nursery will be decided this week.
Bradpole Parish Council has objected to the application saying it will overlook the tranquil green area of the River Asker valley which lies within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The application, from PJS Developments Ltd, is for Seals Cove, St Andrews House, an industrial building at the southern end of the estate, which is used as a day nursery, indoor leisure and a café.
It aims to create a walkway and a seating area, 25x5 metres, to give views of the countryside and the river.
The area planning committee, which meets online this Wednesday (12), is being recommended by planning officers to approve the proposal subject to the seating area only being used between 8am and 8pm and only in association with the existing business use.
