Many of you will have some happy memories of visiting these lost Weymouth pubs.

From pubs that have just changed hands to ones that are no longer a feature in town - there are countless boozers that are no more.

This is just a small selection of some of the pubs in Weymouth that were popular with residents.

Take a trip down memory lane with these pubs and bars of the past.

The Jersey Tavern was right in the town centre in St Thomas Street. It was converted into a shop in 2000.

We also have a photos thanks to the website closedpubs.co.uk of the exterior of the New Bridge Inn, which was at 14 Westham Road and was a Devenish pub. This pub closed in the late 1990s

Also we have is a picture of Verdis, which was at 38 Maiden Street and was a popular music venue in town.

This venue went on to become the Mariners and reunions of those who loved going to Verdis are still held at the Belvedere pub.

And who remembers the Pussy Galore night club? It was at 5 King Street.

Also in the town centre at 26 Westham Road was O’Flannigans which is now the popular Finns, a large mock Tudor pub which specialises in live rock bands.
