Police are urging residents to be vigilant after the theft of a metal gate and suspicious vehicles.
A spokesman for Bridport Police said: "We have had a report of the theft of a metal field gate, in the area of Loscombe and Melplash. This occurred at sometime over the last weekend.
"There has also been mention of a couple suspicious vehicles that have been seen, including a new looking blue pick up.
"If anyone has any information, or would like to report any suspicious activity, please call us on 101 - at the time - or use the online reporting form at dorset.police.uk."
