Businesses that serve food for eating on the premises are being urged to sign up to the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
The initiative, announced last week by chancellor Rishi Sunak, will enable restaurants, bars, cafes and other businesses to offer a 50 per cent reduction to diners on Mondays to Wednesdays in August, up to £10 per person.
The website for businesses wanting to register is live at gov.uk/guidance.
Customers do not need to register or get a voucher.
