A concerned husband called the coastguard after he thought his wife and children had drifted out to sea on kayaks.
Lyme Regis Coastguard was called yesterday (Sunday) at 7.30pm by the woman's husband who was concerned that they were drifting out to sea around half a mile south of Golden Cap.
The lifeboat crew were on scene 10 minutes after launching and contacted the lady who was not in any trouble. The lifeboat offered to stay with her to see that she arrived safely, but she declined the request.
The lifeboat crew were stood down, having launched at 7.30pm, and returned to Lyme Regis harbour at 8pm.
