A SUPPORTER of a local end of life care charity has won £12,500 on the Your Hospice Lottery draw.
The winner, a man living in Bridport who wishes to remain anonymous, played the lottery to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare and won the rollover jackpot last month.
The winner said: "We will certainly be making a further donation to Weldmar of £1,000, and we have five children, so each of them will be getting some money too.
"I am a member of a local sports club and one of our members became very ill last year, and was cared for by Weldmar at their hospice in Dorchester. Playing the lottery seemed like a good way for us to show our support."
The Your Hospice Lottery exists to raise money for hospicecare. It costs £1 per week to enter and someone is guaranteed to win £1,000 every week.
