An application for new stable block as been received for Dodpen Stables at Fishpond.
The application asks Dorset Council to approve a block of four stables, a tack room and a feed room.
Opened in 2005 the centre currently has 19 horses in residence and offers training for young horses and riders, seasonal trekking and hacking holidays.
The 30 acres site currently employs two full time staff and has an existing block of 26 stables – with the new block proposed for the southern section of the site. Application papers say it will be a traditional rural building using timber weatherboarding.
