A RHYL community group has helped support another through "difficult times".

Members of Cambria Meridian Lodge - based at Elwy Hall - have visited Rhyl Men’s Shed to donate £2,000 - including £1,100 from North Wales Freemasons Charity as part of their ongoing community support during the pandemic.

Rhyl Men's Shed provides a environment for men, women and children of all ages and capabilities to come together for a variety of activities including tend to its garden and poly-tunnel, woodwork, craft and art projects, IT projects and more.

John Hoult, Head of North Wales Freemasons, said “We are delighted to support Rhyl Men’s Shed in Wellington Road during these difficult times, we hope our £2,000 contribution will allow the group to continue their excellent work in the area. “

Shane Owen, chairperson of Rhyl Men’s Shed said: "We can learn, pass on knowledge, chat and make new friends or catch up with old ones. We are extremely grateful to North Wales Freemasons for this generous donation.”
